Chamber Music Workshop featuring YOU!

Presented by Amateur Music Network

Join us for an afternoon of chamber music! In this workshop, four groups will be selected to share their artistry. Observers are welcome to attend the performance at 3pm.

Who should apply?

This workshop is geared to intermediate/advanced chamber players in pre-formed groups. Ensembles must be minimum three (3) to maximum seven (7) players, unconducted. All acoustic instruments are welcome, and non-classical acoustic ensembles are encouraged to apply.

How should I prepare?

Pre-formed groups should apply with their desired repertoire. Groups should be prepared to submit a single work or excerpt, not to exceed 15 minutes in duration. Four groups will be chosen and paired with Professional mentors who will be selected from among AMN’s partner organizations such as San Francisco Symphony, SF Chamber Orchestra, Chamber Music SF, and others. Each mentor will be selected with an eye on matching musical background and specialty, based on the repertoire submitted.

Is there a cost?

There is no cost to apply. If accepted, the workshop fee is $300 per group.

No one is turned down for lack of funds. Please contact info@amateurmusic.org to request a fee reduction if necessary.

APPLY NOW! Application deadline: September 30, 11:00 PM.

How can I attend the concert as an audience member?

Observers are welcome! The performance will begin at 3pm. Cost for observer tickets: $15.
