Call for Writers
San Francisco Classical Voice (sfcv.org), a leading online music journal, is seeking passionate classical music lovers to review a vibrant array of performances in the Bay Area and Los Angeles. Coverage ranges from major presenters, like Cal Performances and the San Francisco Symphony, to much smaller local groups.
We aim to build ongoing working relationships with writers who are available for assignments on a regular basis, mostly for concerts taking place over the weekend.
Excellent writing skills, some form of musical training, wide-ranging taste, and a strong grasp of journalistic practices and ethics are required. You get two free tickets to concerts and a fee for your work. Many of California’s most experienced arts journalists write for SFCV. Pay is competitive with other online music journals and comparable publications.
