Accompanist / Assistant Choral Director

Position Summary

BCC seeks a skilled and reliable Accompanist & Assistant Conductor to support the musical goals of the chorus. This role includes weekly piano accompaniment, providing digital rehearsal recordings, and occasional conducting support under the guidance of the Choral Director.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide piano accompaniment for weekly Tuesday evening rehearsals and performances
• Create and deliver digital rehearsal tracks for all seasonal repertoire (including individual vocal parts, piano-only, and full mixes) within 30 days of season start
• Assist with conducting as needed during rehearsals or performances
• Collaborate closely with the Artistic Director and Chorus President

Compensation

• $30 per hour
• Rehearsal track production: $150 per season

Qualifications

• Proficient piano accompanist with experience in choral settings
• Comfortable working with amateur singers of varying experience levels
• Familiarity with producing basic digital audio recordings
• Positive, team-oriented attitude
