I am happy to teach anyone from age 12 up, so long as they have basic music training (i.e. read music). I have taught for many years for the Golden Gate Philharmonic (www.ggph.org) where people from age 10 to 18 learn string instruments as well as music theory. I also teach, at a higher level of complexity, music analysis and composition; and sometimes music history as well. An example of this kind of teaching can be seen at

the first of four videos analyzing the movement of a Mozart String Quartet. And a sampling of my own compositions can be seen on YouTube as well as on my own website, www.aldenjenks.com. My rates are flexible. Contact me to learn more.
