David Hatt, assistant organist for San Francisco's Cathedral of St. Mary of the Assumption, plays the music of his father-in-law, prolific composer Dr. David N. Johnson. The first in the 2022-23 "Second Sunday" series of concerts in Healdsburg, this performance is a celebration of the works of Johnson, on the centennial year of his birth. A wind ensemble will join Hatt, who will be playing the church's Bigelow pipe organ. Hatt has played more than 100 concerts at St. Mary's Cathedral and more than 50 concerts at Trinity Cathedral in Reno. He has also appeared several times with the San Francisco Symphony, SF Girls Chorus, WomenSing and the SF Lyric Chorus. The historic venue is a 112-year-old, all-redwood chapel located one block east of Healdsburg's downtown Plaza. Admission is free, and the public is cordially invited to attend.
