The 2023 Bay Area Reger Festival continues at 5 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 17, at St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Healdsburg. David Hatt, a resident of the Alexander Valley, will play selections by the German composer Max Reger, J.S. Bach, Rick Cox and David N. Johnson as well as his own work. An unusual feature of this concert is “Mostly Pedals,” works performed on the bass notes of the organ. Hatt is assistant organist at the Cathedral of St. Mary of the Assumption in San Francisco. As always, admission to the Sept. 17 concert is free. Donations for the church’s building fund, so that its outreach programs may be continued, are welcome. The church is located at the corner of East and Matheson Streets, one block east of Healdsburg’s downtown Plaza.
