Healdsburg pipe-organ concert Sept. 21 features David Hatt

David Hatt, assistant cathedral organist of St. Mary's Cathedral in San Francisco, plays music of the French Romantic school in a Healdsburg concert at 5 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 21. Admission to this concert, which is the first in the 2025-26 season of "Mostly Third Sunday" pipe-organ concerts, is free.

Hatt is an Alexander Valley resident who received his master's degree in music from UC Riverside. During his long career he has appeared with the San Francisco Symphony, the SF Girls Chorus, WomenSing and the SF Lyric Chorus. His compositions and arrangements have been published by Wayne Leupold Editions, Darcy Press and Augsberg Fortress. He is also known regionally for the Max Reger festivals he has produced. The Sept. 21 concert will feature the works of Eugene Gigout.

The concert takes place at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, located at the corner of East and Matheson Streets, one block east of Healdsburg's downtown Plaza. For more information, see the church website, www.stpauls-healdsburg.org.
