Auditions for Chora Nova's 20th Anniversary Season

Chora Nova, directed by John Kendall Bailey, is an auditioned chorus based in Berkeley, California, that draws experienced singers from around the Bay Area. We are a friendly group of experienced singers who welcome newcomers with open arms.

For the upcoming 20th Anniversary Season, we will perform an exciting, varied series of programs. In the fall we will visit the Romantic period, performing music by Beethoven, Mendelssohn and Beethoven's best friend ( and fabulous composer) Anton Reicha.  The winter  session will move back in time to the Renaissance, with Monteverdi's Vespers of the Blessed Virgin (1610 Vespers). We end the season with Orff's ever-popular Carmina Burana.

Rehearsals are on Tuesday evenings in north Berkeley.

Auditions will be on August 16 and 17 in north Berkeley. For an audition application,  go to www.choranova/audition
