Prometheus Symphony Orchestra

Prometheus Symphony welcomes new members for its 61st season!  Prometheus Symphony is a community orchestra based in Oakland, performing five concerts a year at Valley Center for the Performing Arts and rehearsing at Merritt College.  Much more information can be found at the orchestra’s website, prometheussymphony.org .

We are always interested in string players, and there are occasional openings in other sections of the orchestra.  Currently (fall 2025) there are openings in the percussion, bassoon, and horn sections.   Potential members should contact our Music Director, Eric Hansen, via an email sent to info@prometheussymphony.org .
