Angie has been teaching piano lessons since she was in college. She was a piano instructor at ABC Music in Scottsdale, Arizona, for several years. She moved to Oakland in June of 2007 and is excited to be a part of Musically Minded piano studio.Her strengths as a teacher include her ability to adapt lessons to the students' areas of interest and her versatile knowledge of many styles of music including classical, jazz, and popular music. She brings with her the unique perspective of someone who grew up reading music and later learned to improvise.
Angie is also an active performer in the Bay Area, playing with jazz and salsa bands, accompanying singers, working in music theater, and performing at weddings or other special events.
