Berkeley Baroque Strings Presents A Handel Extravaganza!

Join the Berkeley Baroque Strings for a program celebrating the works of George Frideric Handel. Bay Area resident Arthur Omura is the featured guest soloist, performing the Organ Concerto in B-flat. "Da tempeste il legno infranto" (The wood battered by the storm) from Giulio Cesare highlights soprano Caroline Jou Armitage. Tenor Barrie Cowan will perform "Waft her, angels, through the skies" from Jephtha. Concerto Grosso in F Major, op. 6, no. 9, Concerto Grosso in B Minor, op.6 no. 12, along with selections from the popular Water Music, are also on the program.

Under the music direction of Kati Kyme, longtime member of the Philharmonia Baroque Orchestra, Cantata Collective, and New Esterhazy Quartet, the chamber orchestra is an affiliate of the San Francisco Early Music Society.

The concert takes place at St. Clement’s Episcopal Church, 2837 Claremont Blvd., Berkeley.
