THE BOW AND THE BRUSH, A CONCERT OF MUSIC AND VISUAL ART BY DANIEL DARMESIN FLANAGAN
Daniel performs new music inspired by French paintings and Baroque masterworks paired with period paintings. The pieces will be performed with projections of the art, mixing French and American, new and historic, traditional and experimental. He performs on a French violin made in 1840 by Jean-Baptiste Vuillaume and gives a brief description of the music and art in a combination of English and French. Daniel has performed The Bow and the Brush across the United States and Europe, including Carnegie Hall, Boston University, University of California, The American Library in Paris, University of Rome, and Stern Pissarro Gallery in London. The performance will be followed by a Q&A.
