LUNA LAB@10: Celebrating a Decade of Young Composers

Luna Composition Lab—founded in 2016 by composers Missy Mazzoli and Ellen Reid—is reshaping the future by mentoring a wide range of female, nonbinary, and/or gendernonconforming composers ages 13 to 18. With LUNA LAB@10, the organization launches its most ambitious project yet: a 10th anniversary celebration featuring 75 world premieres by 50 alumni, commissioned and performed by leading ensembles across the United States and abroad. This special performance spotlights three of these world premieres alongside music by Grammy-nominated composer Mazzoli and Reid, winner of the Pulitzer Prize for her opera p r i s m (2019).
