The season’s second Takács Quartet performance features the Bay Area premiere of Nexus, a new work co-commissioned by Cal Performances from Brazilian American composer and pianist Clarice Assad. The ensemble says of the collaboration, “Clarice’s music inspires interactive spirit and theatrical energy—we feel liberated by her limitless imagination.” (The quartet’s first performance is on January 25.)
