Bach’s St. John Passion in Santa Cruz
The Central Coast Chamber Choir (C4), the chamber ensemble of I Cantori di Carmel, presents J.S. Bach’s St. John Passion under the direction of Daniel Henriks.
Performed with a chamber choir and an ensemble on period instruments, this intimate performance brings Bach’s dramatic setting of the Passion story into close focus, with direct, vivid storytelling and emotional immediacy.
The performance features soloists Steven Caldicott Wilson, Morgan Balfour, Gabriela Estephanie Solís, and Matt Peterson, with Caitlyn Koester, Lars Johannesson, and Matt Xie returning as part of the ensemble.
