James (Zijian) Wei, pianist

James (Zijian) Wei, a young generation pianist, won first prize in the 2024 Cleveland International Piano Competition, and third prize in the 76th Geneva International Music Competition (Piano) where he earned the Rose-Marie Huguenin Special Prize. He has represented Chinese pianists at the Chopin International Piano Competition and the Marguerite Long International Piano Competition.

Wei has also achieved remarkable results including first prize at the Huanglong Music Season Piano Competition, the Jianfa Gulangyu International Competition, Changjiang Cup National University Piano Competition, China Grand Canal International Piano Art Festival, the Best Chinese Work Award at the Beijing International Chopin Piano Competition, and second  prize at the Lang Lang Cup Piano Competition.
