This event is the Founder's Concert commemorating Dr. W. Haziah Williams who started as an impresario in 1958 and was one of the first African American presenters of classical music in the United States. He was dedicated to the racial and cultural integration and expansion of the classical music audience and of the concert stage. With this mission, he presented hundreds of concerts in the Bay Area and beyond.
