Professor Challenger believes that dinosaurs still exist in the remote regions of South America. When his colleagues and students mock him, he proposes that a team be assembled to travel to the Amazon rainforest to see for themselves. Professor Challenger and a small group, including scientists and a reporter, set sail for the forbidden territory, not knowing the adventure that awaits!

Using brilliant stop-action photography, stunning practical sets, and camera work, O’Brien achieved a feat in special effects technology that later inspired such movies as JURASSIC PARK.
