PASSION + MYSTERY: MARTÍN + SAY + BEETHOVEN

Presented by Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra

Fazil Say, Piano. Black and white image of a man sitting at a piano.

This Valentine’s weekend, celebrate music born of joy and devotion. Critically acclaimed composer Michael Abels unveils the world premiere of Meraki, a work inspired by doing something with joy and the love artists bring to their craft, created with passion and care. Fauré’s Pelléas et Mélisandeshimmers with longing and delicate intimacy, a portrait of love’s tender complexities. The evening crescendos with the rare artistry of Fazıl Say, also a celebrated composer, stepping into the spotlight as pianist in Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No. 3 — a masterpiece of drama, intensity, and brilliance.
