A non-traditional string quartet, founded in 200l by violinist Jeremy Cohen, is the Bay Area’s leading eclectic string ensemble. The group is celebrated for their excellence in the classical-crossover genre, featuring material inspired by cultures near and far. QSF was born out of the desire to create a genre of string chamber literature that gathers its material from popular music elements of recent decades. QS is dedicated to introducing a fresh, vibrant body of string quartet literature-new works that expand the reaches of chamber music.
