SEPTEMBER 2nd – Mira T. Sundara Rajan, Piano - Mira T. Sundara Rajan is an Indo-Canadian pianist who has trained with leading musicians and teachers. Her pursuit of music is informed by the Indian aesthetic concept of “rasa”: the quest for the “essence, juice, taste, water, blood, elixir, beauty, [or] sentiment” of musical experience.  She has performed widely, and Deepa Alexander of The Hindu has described her playing as “much better than …perfect.”

SEPTEMBER 9th – Berkelium Quartet - The Berkelium String Quartet is a new chamber ensemble of celebrated Bay Area musicians, founded in September 2024. They perform with SF Symphony, SF Opera, SF Ballet, SF Chamber Orchestra, New Century Chamber Orchestra, Oakland Symphony, and hold principal positions with Berkeley Symphony, Sacramento Philharmonic and Opera, Santa Rosa Symphony, and West Edge Opera. The performers presented the music with every aspect of dynamics and tone color as well as artistic nuances of all kinds. Virtuosity in the interest of music. All-in-all, it was a delightful experience.   -Piedmont Post

SEPTEMBER 16th  – Mak Grgić, Guitar - Touted as a “gifted young guitarist” by the New York Times and “a guitarist to keep an eye on” by the Washington Post, 3-time Grammy®-nominated artist Mak Grgic [GER-gich] is a star on the worldwide stage. An expansive and adventurous repertoire attests to his versatility and wide-ranging interests. From the ethnic music of his native Balkans to extreme avant-garde and microtonal music, his roles as soloist, collaborator, and Grammy-nominated recording artist are fueled by curiosity, imagination, and boundless energy. As a testament to his versatility and wide-ranging appeal, in 2018 Mak was invited by legendary singer-songwriter k.d. lang to perform as the opening act for the North American leg of her Ingénue Redux Tour.

SEPTEMBER 23rd -- Patrick Galvin, Violin– Patrick Galvin is a San Francisco-based violinist who performs regularly across the United States and abroad. His 2023 performances have included selections from his 2021 album of solo violin repertoire, entitled Violin Alone, and an Australian tour of his show, Romance to Ruin, with pianist Jennifer Hou. Other recent projects include Dear Camilla, a narrative duo program that commemorates the legendary violinist Camilla Wicks, Patrick’s former teacher, on whose instrument he now performs. Patrick also enjoys teaching, both at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music and the Coleman Violin Studio in Seattle, WA.
