San José Wind Symphony Presents “Divine Inspiration”

Presented by San Jose Wind Symphony

“Divine Inspiration” conducted by Dr. David Vickerman, invites audiences on a powerful journey through music that uplifts and transcends. Experience the power of the human spirit. From the rhythmic energy of Bernstein’s Profanation to the serene beauty of Jocelyn Hagen’s Hymn to St. Teresa, and J. S. Bach’s Come Sweet Death, we explore how faith and memory inspire the world’s greatest composers.

The journey continues with Kadish, a Jewish prayer for salvation, American Hymnsong Suite, a masterful four-movement collection of four of America's greatest hymntunes, the monumental drama of Wagner, and the breathtaking brilliance of Yasuhide Ito’s Gloriosa.

Join us for an afternoon of music that transcends the ordinary.
