Dance-Along Nutcracker is a one-of-a-kind, family-friendly holiday tradition that reimagines Tchaikovsky’s The Nutcracker with a playful twist. This year’s show, A Wicked Dance-Along Nutcracker, follows Clara, Fritz, and a new student named Mac at a legendary School for Holiday Magic, ruled by Madam Sugarplum and the Great and Powerful Nutcracker.
Uncle Drosselmeyer’s tale comes to life with campy humor, over-the-top characters, and a story about friendship, courage, and saving the holidays. When the “Dance Along!” cue appears, the audience is invited to jump up, don tutus, and pirouette under the mirror ball right along with the cast. Performed live by the 75-piece San Francisco Pride Band, the Official Band of San Francisco, this production blends symphonic concert, musical theatre, and dance-it-yourself ballet into one joyful, interactive show.
