April 19 Healdsburg pipe-organ concert honors the Holy Trinity

Presented by St. Paul's Episcopal Church, Healdsburg

Paul Blanchard in concert April 19

Paul Blanchard, the director of music for St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Healdsburg, plays a concert honoring the Holy Trinity at 5 p.m. Sunday, April 19. Jim Gibboney will be a featured soloist. Admission to the concert is free. Donations to the church's building maintenance fund will be gratefully accepted.

Blanchard will play several selections composed for the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, on the church's recently-installed Bigelow pipe organ. While the church itself is small, the Bigelow organ has been praised by world-renowned organist Jonathan Dimmock, who has appeared in concert there twice. Dimmock called the organ "perfect for the venue" and said he enjoyed "making it sing."

The concert is the eighth in this season's "Mostly Third Sunday" concert series, which continues with a Choral Evensong on May 17 and a recital by members of the American Guild of Organists on June 7. The church is located at the corner of East and Matheson Streets, one block east of Healdsburg's downtown Plaza.
