Gian Carlo Menotti's The Medium is a gripping one-hour chamber opera exploring belief, deception, and the terrifying consequences of self-delusion. This production is set in early 20th-century London. Madame Flora ("Baba"), a fraudulent psychic, profits from staging seances for grieving clients, aided by her daughter Monica and the silent, adopted Toby. But when Baba begins to experience what she believes are genuine supernatural encounters, the line between performance and reality collapses. As paranoia takes hold, manipulation gives way to madness-with devastating results. In an age increasingly shaped by distortion and manufactured truths, The Medium remains chillingly relevant.

Not recommended for children.
