
Symphony San Jose pays homage to some of the most iconic outer space film scores ever composed while exploring "the final frontier" with an electrifying concert that blends the magic of science fiction with the power of a live orchestra.
This program of adventure, nostalgia, and cosmic wonder includes works from Danny Elfman's Men in Black, Michael Giacchino's Star Trek Into Darkness, Jamer Horner's Apollo 13, Richard Strauss' 2001: A Space Odyssey, and unforgettable Oscar-winning music by John Williams including Star Wars and E.T. -- The Extra-Terrestrial.
AN ADDED ATTRACTION: Music Notes occur one hour prior to the concert in the main auditorium and includes an informative discussion, fun facts, insights, and interviews with featured guests. It is free of charge for concert ticket-holders and designed to deepen the audience’s appreciation of the music to be featured during the performance.
