UC Berkeley Summer Symphony Presents: Beethoven, Stravinsky, and Rimsky-Korsakov

Presented by UC Berkeley Summer Symphony

Spend your summer evening with the UC Berkeley Summer Symphony! Join us on Friday, August 14 and Saturday, August 15 at 8 PM for a program filled with vivid, dramatic storytelling. Opening the program, Beethoven’s Coriolan Overture contrasts restless, forceful music with a tender plea, capturing the title character’s inner conflict. Stravinsky’s The Firebird, inspired by Russian folklore, travels from an eerie enchanted world through a furious dance to a radiant, triumphant finale. Ending the night is Rimsky-Korsakov’s Scheherazade, which brings the world of One Thousand and One Nights to life through sweeping melodies and dazzling orchestration. We hope to see you there!
