Join the San Francisco Youth Chorus – Now Auditioning for Fall 2025!
Celebrate our 10th anniversary season by becoming part of one of the Bay Area’s leading youth choral programs! Founded in 2015 by Artistic Director Katherine Gerber, San Francisco Youth Chorus (SFYC) welcomes singers from Pre-K through 12th grade, offering a joyful, high-quality music education that nurtures vocal development, music literacy, and a lifelong love of singing.
The San Francisco chapter of the GRAMMY award winning National Children’s Chorus is holding auditions for students, ages 5 to 17, on Sunday, August 4 at 4pm PT through the end of the month. Auditions are held via Zoom. The audition fee for the whole process, including a private one-on-one evaluation, is $45. Apply now to book an audition and attend the online information presentation on Sunday, August 4.

The Young Women’s Choral Projects of San Francisco is a world-class choral organization for girls and young women ages 4-18, which empowers them to achieve artistic and personal excellence.
YWCP offers four choir levels—Prelude Chorus, Allegro Chorus, Vivo Chorus and the Young Women’s Chorus.
Auditions for girls between the ages of 7 and up for the San Francisco Girls Chorus School are held each May and June in San Francisco and Berkeley. The Chorus School has two rehearsal locations to choose: San Francisco and Berkeley. (SFGC also offers a Preparatory Chorus for younger singers ages 4-7. No audition or previous music experience is required to participate in the Preparatory Chorus.)

Auditions will be held on Saturday January 14 for the spring semester. Prelude chorus meets on Wednesdays and Sundays from 4-5:30 pm and is focused on creating an exciting and interactive community. Here young girls learn basic vocal techniques, sight-reading, and performance skills through the Kodály teaching method.
Do you know a girl in grades 5-10 who loves to sing? The Young Women's Choral Projects of San Francisco is holding auditions for our Allegro Chorus! Auditions will be held on Saturday January 14 for the spring semester. Allegro chorus meets on Wednesdays and Sundays from 4-6 pm and is focused on creating an exciting and interactive community. Here young girls learn more advanced vocal techniques, sight-reading, music theory, and performance skills through the Kodály teaching method.
Do you know a young woman in grades 7-12 who loves to sing? The Young Women's Choral Projects of San Francisco is holding auditions for our Young Women’s Chorus! Auditions will be held on Saturday May 14 & Sunday June 5 for the 2016-2017 seasons. YWC meets on Wednesday night from 6:30-9pm and Sundays from 3-6 pm and is focused on creating an exciting and interactive community. Here young women learn more challenging and advanced vocal techniques, sight-reading, and performance skills through the Kodály teaching method.
