Natalie is a dedicated teacher and currently holds her own studio in San Francisco. She is currently on faculty at the SFCM Pre-College coaching chamber music. Additionally, she has coached chamber music to young groups through the Lyceum Music Festival in Utah as well as Summer Music West in San Francisco.

Ms. Hsia is an East Bay cello and piano teacher, currently affiliated with the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music, the Music Teachers' Association of California, and Steinway & Sons' Educational Partnership Program. She is currently the principal cellist with the Diablo Symphony Orchestra in Walnut Creek and working as a volunteer librarian in the school outreach program.

Bay Area violist Clio Tilton is an enthusiastic chamber musician and teacher of violin and viola. Clio performs regularly as a substitute with the San Francisco Symphony, San Francisco Contemporary Music Players, Berkeley Symphony, Oakland Symphony, Santa Rosa Symphony, Magik Magik Orchestra, and as a member of the San Francisco Chamber Orchestra and the American Bach Soloists. As a chamber musician she performs with the Chamber Music Society of San Francisco. Clio studied at Oberlin Conservatory and the Juilliard School and has been heard across Europe, Asia, and the United States.

Technique, musicality, body posture and relaxation awareness are all integral pieces of the learning process. Helping students adhere to a productive daily practice schedule is also essential. I believe these are the keys to growth, opening infinite doors physically, mentally and musically.”

Lucas Chen, cellist, received his B.A. from UC Davis. He received his M.M. and Post-graduate diploma from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, studying with Jennifer Culp. Upon finishing his studies, Lucas has been enjoying a diverse career teaching and performing/recording both classical and mainstream music. He has served as mentor and coach for The Oakland Youth Orchestra and Summer Music West. He is principal cellist of the Bear Valley Music Festival and was a featured concerto soloist in August of 2016.

A native of Portland, Oregon, violinist Erica Ward received her B.M. from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, and her M.M. from the Cleveland Institute of Music, where her principal teachers were Camilla Wicks, Wei He, and Paul Kantor. Erica is Director and Resident Teaching Artist of violin at the Alameda String Academy, which she created out of a desire to help others experience the satisfaction that comes from making music with others, to pave sustainable pathways for music and the arts in a modern community, and, most importantly, to change the world with beauty.

A native of Davis, CA, Rebecca Reed-Lunn has 16 years of teaching experience and a Bachelor of Music with High Distinction as well as a Performer Diploma from the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music. Her teachers include Alan de Veritch, Yuval Gotlibovich, and Lynne Richburg, and she studied pedagogy with Mimi Zweig and Brenda Brenner of the Indiana University String Academy.

Tim obtained his Bachelor’s in Music: Performance at Brigham Young University. He has performed with the BYU Philharmonic Orchestra, the Chamber Orchestra, and the Baroque Ensemble. In 2011 he toured China for three weeks with the Chamber Orchestra. He is passionate about all things chamber music.
