For the 32nd year, the  Steinway Society Bay Area — founded by Billye Ericksen and Steinway & Sons dealer David Dumont — has announced a season of prominent pianists playing varied and substantial programs.

All recitals take place in De Anza College’s superb 400-seat Visual and Performing Arts Center theater in Cupertino.

The organization offers meet and greet sessions for most concerts, where audiences meet the artists. Some of the concerts are also paired with in-home salons “for an intimate behind-the-scenes experience.”

Single tickets — $58 to $78 — and season subscriptions for all six concerts — $305 to $405 — are available online, with a slight reduction for students and seniors.

The season opens on Sept. 27, with Angel Stanislav Wang, just 22 but already acclaimed, who will perform a program of music by Enrique Granados, Franz Liszt, Claude Debussy, and Igor Stravinsky.

Tony Siqi Yun, also 23, and a gold medalist in the First China International Music Competition, appears on Oct. 11, playing the Bach/Busoni Prelude BWV 639 (Ich ruf' zu dir) and Chaconne from Partita No. 2 in D Minor, BWV 1004; he also will present works by Liszt, Beethoven, and Brahms.

Boston native George Li, 30, comes to Cupertino on Nov. 8, performing two substantial Robert Schumann works, Debussy’s Images Book 1, and Modest Mussorgsky’s Pictures at an Exhibition.

Canadian Sophia Liu, at 17 years old, has already performed in major venues in Europe and Asia, and is slated to appear in recital on Feb. 21, 2027. Her program consists of works by Frédéric Chopin, Mily Balakirev, and Liszt.

Scottish pianist Steven Osborne, 55, is due on April 18, 2027, with a widely varied program of works by Schumann, Eric Satie, Lili Boulanger, Anatoly Lyadov, Fritz Kreisler- Sergei Rachmaninoff, and Maurice Ravel. After intermission, it’s Beethoven’s Diabelli Variations.

The season closes with Russian-Israeli pianist Vitaly Starikov, 31, the silver medal winner at the 2025 Van Cliburn Competition. He’s scheduled to perform works by Felix Mendelssohn, Béla Bartók, Debussy, and Sergei Prokofiev in a concert on May 15, 2027.
