He has also contributed to Gramophone and The Strad, among many other publications. In another lifetime, he was chief music critic of the Los Angeles Daily News. He is also the author of the recently released book Makin’ a Joyful Noise: The Lives and Times of the (Slightly) Fabulous Limeliters.
