The Versailles Royal Opera makes its North American debut in this spectacular evening featuring Donizetti’s La Fille du régiment. This perennially popular opera follows the irrepressible Marie — a spirited orphan raised by a regiment of French soldiers. She falls for the dashing Tonio, only to face a whirlwind of obstacles, from war and aristocratic expectations to an unexpected twist of fate. With Marie’s dazzling coloratura passages and Tonio’s famous aria featuring nine thrilling high Cs, the production bursts with humor, romance, and vocal fireworks. Stunning costumes by renowned fashion designer Christian Lacroix make this Jean-Romain Vesperini directed production a show not to be missed.
