Annual Christmas Concert

Presented by The Handel Opera Project

Simeon and the young child – Marion Boyd Allen (1919)

The Handel Opera Project and Berkeley’s First Church of Christ, Scientist, warmly invite you to join us for our annual Christmas concert, which will take place on Sunday, December 21, at 7:00 pm. Many of our veteran singers will gather to perform works by Mr. Handel, Bach, Mozart, Brahms, Mendelssohn, and others,  under the direction of Handel Opera Project founder William G. Ludtke. Naturally, such a concert would not be complete without the opportunity for your participation, so you are invited to join in singing carols and hymns.

As always, our program is offered to the community free of charge; donations, of course, are gratefully accepted! The venue is Bernard Maybeck’s masterpiece – and Berkeley’s only structure designated a National Historic Landmark – the First Church of Christ, Scientist, 2619 Dwight Way at Bowditch St. in Berkeley.

This year’s program is presented in loving memory of Margaret & Wayne Montgomery.
