Internationally acclaimed pianist Tanya Gabrielian, hailed by the London Times as “a pianist of powerful physical and imaginative muscle” and a proud Bay Area native, returns home for an evening that honors both beloved classics and today’s creative voices. The program features Schumann’s tender Kinderszenen, Op. 15, Franck’s passionate Sonata in A major in Alfred Cortot’s rarely heard transcription for solo piano, and San Francisco–based composer Sahba Aminikia’s evocative Lullaby, making this an evening that celebrates both timeless masterworks and the creative spirit of our own community.
