Are you an experienced vocalist looking for challenging repertoire and a welcoming, diverse

choral community? We’d love for you to join us! Sacred and Profane Chamber Chorus has

openings for a high soprano and two tenors for our 2025–26 season, with possible openings in

other sections. Fall rehearsals begin Tuesday, September 9, 2025.

You like to sing Bach and Handel and live for a big group melisma. But you also love to float in the lush harmonic pool that is Lauridsen or Whitacre. Oh, but minor seconds are fun, too, like smooth Gene Puerling arrangements or beat-boxing Pentatonix tunes. But really, at the end of the day, what you are belting in your car is Lizzo and Hamilton. For you, music is music is music is music — especially when done well with a great community of committed amateur singers.

The Queer Chorus of SF is looking for passionate singers of all levels who share our enthusiasm for being part of a vibrant, inclusive community. We welcome individuals of all gender identities and sexual orientations. Our chorus is a safe and supportive space for everyone. We perform the best mixed-voice music, from classical to pop during our concert season of 2 main concerts and two cabarets. Our chorus is a place where you will grow and shine, singing the voice part that best suits you.

Since its founding in 2004, Musae has performed diverse and accessible music throughout the Bay Area, and continues to stretch the boundaries of traditional repertoire for treble voices. Musae functions as a musical collective in which each singer identifies as a leader and soloist and contributes actively to the artistic process.

If you are a skilled choral singer with a healthy voice, a great attitude, and an interest in being part of an ambitious ensemble that is committed to presenting relevant and compelling concerts, Sacred & Profane Chamber Chorus may be right for you. Auditions preceding the start of our winter concert series on Tuesday, January 9th are open to all voice parts.

Diablo Choral Artists (DCA), dcachorus.org. is seeking experienced choral singers in all voice parts.  We rehearse Monday nights in Walnut Creek. Auditions are scheduled for Monday, Aug 28, beginning at 7pm, at Mount Diablo Unitarian Universalist Church, 55 Eckley Lane, Walnut Creek, with rehearsals beginning Sept. 11.  Singers should prepare no more than 2 solo. pieces for voice and piano (one in English, and one in a foreign language), and be prepared to vocalize and sight read no more than 2 brief excerpts with and without piano accompaniment.

San Francisco-based Resound Ensemble is holding auditions for all voice parts on Wednesday, August 23rd from 7pm to 9pm.

We are a 40- to 50-voice ensemble that is committed to an eclectic choral repertoire. We present a wide range of styles of choral music each season, from 15th century pieces to new works, accompanied and a cappella, based around a unifying theme. We value community and enjoy many musical and non-musical activities together throughout each season.
