Ensemble Continuo Chamber Choir (www.ensemble-continuo.com, youtube) based in Palo Alto, is looking for singers across all sections. EC is an auditioned chamber choir that performs classical choral music in the Bay Area. Sign up for an audition on August 28. You will sing in a great community and improve your technique with voice coaching in every rehearsal.
The four upcoming performances this fall and winter include romantic to modern a cappella motets by Bruckner, Gjeilo, Whitacre and Boyd (Spotify playlist), and our Messiah sing along December! If you are excited about caroling, we are invited to perform on the holiday Caltrain this year. :)
Founded in 2023, Ensemble Continuo performs classical vocal repertoire for mixed chamber choirs. Performances over the last year included Brahms and Duruflè Requiems and a focus on classical a cappella motets at locations like Stanford Memorial Church (2023 and 2024), California Theater (2023) and Oakland Cathedral (2024). In June 2025, Ensemble Continuo had its first choir tour to Chicago with a program of Bernstein Chichester Psalms and Poulenc Gloria.
