Chromatica is a newly formed classical chorus in the San Ramon Valley.  Auditions are open for all voice parts, men and women (SATB); tenors especially welcome!  We work hard and have FUN!

Accepting singers who can read music; prior choral and performing experience also important.

WomenSing's 2012-2013 season SONGS TO CONSIDER includes a performance at the architecturally stunning Green Music Center in Sonoma, and participation by invitation in the Missoula International Choral Festival in July. Audition consists of a prepared solo, ear training and brief sight-singing.

Students under the age of 18 perform works by J. S. Bach as members of ensembles and/or as soloists. Memorization is required for soloists. Accompanists and members of ensembles may use scores. Groups larger than 16 need to audition by CD

The audition includes vocalizing, assessment of vocal instrument and aural skills, tonal and atonal sight-reading, two prepared works of contrasting style and language.

Music Director checks voice range, blending ability, singing in tune, sight reading and musicianship skills.

Successful applicants will have significant choral singing experience, excellent sight-reading skills, and an interest in singing in small chamber groups as well as the full ensemble.
Audition will include vocalizing, ear exercises, sightreading and one prepared solo.
