The conductor, who will move to New York next year, led the LA Phil in a program of works by Reid and Strauss.
Grant Gershon will lead the program at Walt Disney Concert Hall on Oct. 5.
The company’s music director is leaving the post after an eventful tenure and looking forward to working on new projects.
