SAN FRANCISCO OPERA CHORUS AUDITIONS
FOR THE 2018 SEASON
OPENINGS IN ALL VOICE CATEGORIES
San Francisco Opera will hold auditions in October & November for experienced, classically trained singers who are seeking a professional contract in the San Francisco Opera Chorus for the 2018 season. Positions for all voice parts may be available in the full-time Regular Chorus, and all voice parts in the part-time Extra Chorus will be available with a special need for male voices for the 2018 spring production of Götterdämmerung.
Perform at Old First Concerts with Lacuna Arts Chorale
Lacuna Arts Chorale, an a cappella chorus of 20-24 balanced voices, gives intermediate and advanced amateur choral singers the chance to tackle some of the more demanding 8-part choral literature with as few as 1–3 voices per part. This year we will be launching a new Audience-in-Residence program to help our audience members and singers engage more deeply in choral works of art, build community, and take a more active role in opposing racism, oppression, and social injustice.
